Buddha Air Expands Kathmandu-Varanasi Flights to Three Days a Week
Private carrier Buddha Air has announced an expansion of its Kathmandu-Varanasi commercial flight schedule, increasing from two to three flights per week. As per the airline, flights will now operate every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu to Varanasi, India.
In a statement issued today, Buddha Air expressed confidence that the increased frequency would provide greater convenience for passengers. Additionally, Buddha Holidays, a subsidiary of the airline, is offering holiday packages for popular destinations such as Sarnath and Ayodhya in India. The packages are designed to assist travelers, particularly those planning to perform Sohra Sraddha, a 16-day Hindu ritual to honor ancestors, in Gaya.
The journey from Kathmandu to Varanasi, also known as Kashi, is a short 50-minute flight. The initial one-way fare is priced at Rs 11,360. Flights are scheduled to depart from Kathmandu at 7:15 am, with the return flight from Varanasi at 8:30 am.
