Buddha Air, in its 25th year, preparing to induct three more aircraft

Buddha Air, a private investment airline company of Nepal, has completed its 25th year of establishment and has entered 26 year.

Speaking at a press conference organized on the occasion of completing the 25th year of the airline in Kathmandu on Monday, Buddha Air Managing Director Birendra Bahadur Basnet said that various ups and downs had to face during the 25-year journey.

He said that in the 25-year journey, Buddha Air has been operating in accordance with the rules, so success is being achieved. Basnet said that if the company can run according to the rules, there will be no problem in achieving success.

He furthermore, said that the airline sector is not a trade but an industry.

Similarly, Basnet said that he will work hard to make Buddha Air more reliable in the future.

He also announced the plans of airlines to add 3 ATR aircraft in the near future.

Buddha Air made its first commercial flight on 11 October 1997.

This airline, which started with one aircraft 25 years ago, has now increased up to 16 aircrafts.

Buddha Air, which currently occupies 56 percent market, has alone flown 2.2 million 32 thousand passengers in 2021.
