Buddha Air Pilot Soars to New Heights as Mr. Nepal 2023

In an exhilarating competition filled with talent, charisma, and passion, 32-year-old pilot Samarpan Karki emerged victorious as the new Mr. Nepal 2023. Defeating 17 other contestants, Karki showcased his remarkable skills and personality to clinch the prestigious title.

Hailing from Biratnagar, Karki’s journey in the competition was not only about personal achievement but also aimed at inspiring young people across the nation. His dedication to this goal earned him the esteemed ‘Mr. Intellectual’ award, highlighting his commitment to making a positive impact on society.

As the newly crowned Mr. Nepal 2023, Karki was rewarded with a cash prize of Rs. 500,000, a true testament to his outstanding performance throughout the competition. Additionally, he earned the esteemed opportunity of representing Nepal on the global stage, choosing between ‘Mr. World 2023’ or ‘Mr. Global 2023.’

Buddha Air, Nepal’s leading airlines, took to Twitter to celebrate the achievement of their First Officer, Samarpan Karki. In their tweet, they expressed their thrill and pride in announcing that Karki had been crowned Mr. Nepal 2023 and was also awarded the title of Mr. Intellectual. The airline hailed his success as a shining example of striking the perfect balance between work, passion, and dreams.

 

The runners-up also showcased remarkable talent, with Nimesh Kapali from Kathmandu securing the first runner-up position and Krishal Shrestha of Kavre becoming the second runner-up. Dr. Vijay Duwadi of Chitwan and Ashim Lamichhane of Bhaktapur were named the third and fourth runner-up, respectively.

A distinguished panel of judges, including popular actress Aachal Sharma, Malvika Subba, Dr. Ayushman Ghimire, Vishwa Kiran Jain, Lu Lynn, Manisha Dangol Shrestha, Rajbhai Suwal, and Shailaja Adhikary, among others, had the tough task of evaluating the contestants’ talents and selecting the winners.

Ravi Dhamala, the CEO of Next Models Nepal, expressed his delight at witnessing the diversity among the contestants’ professional backgrounds, which ranged from pilots, doctors, engineers, to chartered accountants, demonstrating the multifaceted talents of Nepal’s youth.

Throughout the competition, the finalists underwent comprehensive training sessions to hone their skills and abilities. The training included swimming, football, rock climbing, social service, short hiking, catwalk, personality development, and public speaking, preparing them for the challenges ahead.

The Mr. Nepal 2023 competition welcomed young aspirants aged between 16 to 32 years, providing a platform for young Nepali citizens to showcase their talents and represent their country on an international level. The minimum height requirement of 5 feet 8 inches ensured that the contestants exuded the confidence and presence befitting a titleholder.
