Budget and PM’s India Visit Discussed in Maoist Center’s Parliamentary Party Meeting
The Parliamentary Party meeting of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center), convened today at the party’s parliamentary office located at Singhadarbar. The agenda of the meeting encompassed discussions on various pertinent matters, including the recently presented government budget and the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal,’Prachanda,’ to India.
During the session, Members of Parliament (MPs) actively engaged by raising inquiries regarding Prime Minister Dahal’s imminent visit to India, scrutinizing the government’s budget proposal, and addressing the ongoing anti-corruption campaign initiated by the government.
MP Madhav Sapkota provided an update on the proceedings, highlighting that Prime Minister Dahal, in his capacity as both the head of the government and the Parliamentary Party leader, expressed his perspective on the submitted budget for the upcoming fiscal year. Prime Minister Dahal emphasized that the proposed budget maintains a well-balanced approach, adequately addressing the current national requirements. He further stressed the need to defend and support the budget, acknowledging its significance in meeting the country’s pressing needs.
Regarding the fight against corruption, the Prime Minister affirmed his commitment to controlling corruption, fostering good governance, and investigating irregularities. MP Sapkota conveyed the Prime Minister’s statement, which elucidated his determination to ensure that the forthcoming visit to India yields maximum success. The Prime Minister asserted that the government will not compromise on principles, aiming to convey a positive message to the people of Nepal.
