Budhigandaki project should be made successful at any cost: Chair Oli
CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has stressed the need to make the Budhigandaki Hydropower Project, which is one of the national pride projects, a success at any cost.
Addressing a mass gathering organised at the district headquarters today, Chair Oli, who is in Gorkha today under the nationwide resolution campaign, said the government should not act slowly on the Budhigandaki hydel project.
“Much compensation has already been distributed to the project-affected people. So, it must be expedited now,” the former Prime Minister insisted.
He further said they had been prodding the government for the construction of the project. The UML Chair viewed that the people could not regain the land the State acquired for the project.
“Problems should not be created in different pretexts”, shared Chair Oli. He also expressed dismay over the slow construction of the Mid-Hill Highway.
On a different note, Chairperson Oli urged all sides to make politics clean.
