Chepang Woman Honored for Completing Master’s Degree

Ramila Chepang, a resident of Gandaki Rural Municipality-1, Makaising, has been honored for her remarkable achievement in completing a master’s degree, becoming the first from the Chepang community in the district to do so.

The felicitation ceremony took place on Saturday at Ichhakamana-3, Chumlingtar, during the seventh anniversary celebration of Ichhakamana News.com. Bagmati Province’s Minister for Forest and Environment, Krishna Prasad Silwal, presented Ramila with a letter of appreciation.

Speaking at the event, Minister Silwal commended Ramila’s accomplishment, describing her as a source of inspiration for women in marginalized communities.

Ramila Chepang, who earned her Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree, has been engaged in the teaching profession since 2076 BS. Her achievement has been widely celebrated as a milestone for the Chepang community and a testament to the transformative power of education.
