Chief Justice of India Arrives in Kathmandu for Official Visit
The Chief Justice of India, Dr. DY Chandrachud, arrived in Kathmandu at 4 pm on Friday for an official visit, following an invitation from his Nepali counterpart, Chief Justice Bishowambhar Prasad Shrestha.
During his visit, Chief Justice Chandrachud is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at a program organized by the Central Juvenile Justice Coordination Committee. Additionally, a meeting between the chief justices of the two countries is slated for tomorrow evening, which will further discuss legal and judicial cooperation between India and Nepal.
Following the meeting, Chief Justice Shrestha will host a banquet in honor of Chief Justice Chandrachud. The visit underscores the close judicial ties and ongoing cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
Chief Justice Chandrachud and his delegation are scheduled to return home on the evening of 23 Baisakh, marking a brief yet significant visit aimed at strengthening bilateral judicial relations.
