Chinese Vice-Chair Yang Weigun Meets Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Signs Cooperation Agreements
Visiting Vice-Chair of the China International Development Cooperation Agency, Yang Weigun, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Thursday. The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar, where Yang briefed PM Oli on the discussions and agreements reached with Deputy Prime Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel earlier that day.
During the program held at the Finance Ministry, four separate letters of cooperation were signed. These agreements include the construction of an 8.2 km road from Kalanki to Bashundhara, Maharajgunj along the Kathmandu Ring Road, the upgrading of the Hilsa-Simikot road section to two lanes, the construction of an Integrated Check Post (ICP) and Inland Container Depot (ICD) at the Korala transit point in Mustang, and a feasibility study for the maintenance and improvement of the Araniko Highway, along with landslide control measures.
These initiatives are part of ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and bilateral cooperation between Nepal and China.
