
Chinese VP meets Bangladeshi interim government’s chief adviser

Chinese Vice President Han Zheng met with Bangladeshi interim government’s Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus in Beijing on Friday.
Han emphasized that since the establishment of diplomatic ties 50 years ago, China and Bangladesh have always respected, understood, and supported each other.
Highlighting their shared interests and compatible development strategies, Han stated that China is ready to collaborate with Bangladesh to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state.
He further expressed China’s commitment to deepening political mutual trust, strengthening practical cooperation in various fields, and fostering the sustained and in-depth development of China-Bangladesh relations for the benefit of both nations.
Yunus acknowledged that Bangladesh is at a new historical juncture and expressed hope for continued strong support and assistance from China.
He added that Bangladesh is eager to use the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties as an opportunity to further deepen and consolidate bilateral cooperation, elevating relations to a higher level.
