CIAA Submits Fiscal Year 2080/81 Report to President Paudel

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) submitted its Annual Report for the Fiscal Year 2080/81 (2023/24) to President Ramchandra Paudel today. CIAA Chief Commissioner Prem Kumar Rai handed over the report at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhawan, Shital Niwas.

Upon receiving the report, President Paudel emphasized the importance of making corruption investigations and prosecutions more scientific, fact-based, and result-oriented to strengthen good governance. He stressed the need for transparency and effectiveness in the CIAA’s operations, suggesting enhancements in staff professionalism and institutional development.

The President expressed satisfaction with the CIAA’s efforts to control corruption, commending the organization for its integrity, impartiality, and courage in safeguarding national and public interests. He also urged the Government of Nepal to address the key issues highlighted in the report, which details the CIAA’s activities in fulfilling its constitutional and legal responsibilities.
