Closure of Kulekhani-Sisneri-Chhaimale-Dakshinkali Road for Construction
Effective today, vehicular traffic on the vital Kulekhani-Sisneri-Chhaimale-Dakshinkali road connecting Hetauda and Kathmandu has been halted for an indefinite period. This closure is due to essential upgrading endeavors aimed at enhancing road infrastructure.
Pratap Bhomjan, Chairman of Indrasarobar Rural Municipality-3, cited the necessity for the closure to facilitate various upgrading tasks including the construction of RCC structures, drains, and black-topping. He emphasized that traffic would remain suspended until the black-topping works reach completion.
The decision to close the Sisneri section of the Kulekhani-Sisneri-Chhaimale-Dakshinkali Road came after it was previously shut for construction activities from the second week of this month. The Ward Office explained that the suspension was imperative to prevent disruptions caused by the premature operation of jeeps and microbuses before the completion of road upgrading works.
The temporary closure underscores the commitment to ensuring safer and more efficient travel for commuters once the comprehensive upgrading efforts conclude.
