Cold Spell to Intensify Across Nepal, Dry Weather Persists with No Immediate Rainfall
KATHMANDU, Dec 14 – Brace yourselves for a chillier atmosphere as the Weather Forecasting Division reports a drop in temperatures across Nepal, coupled with generally clear skies and no immediate prospects of rain. The shift in weather patterns is attributed to the influence of westerly winds currently affecting the region.
As of today, the hilly areas are experiencing partly cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country enjoys overall clear skies. The Weather Forecasting Division clarifies that despite the foggy conditions, rain is not expected throughout the day. In the Koshi region, the hilly areas can expect partly cloudy weather, while the remaining regions are anticipated to experience generally clear conditions.
Looking ahead to Friday, the weather forecast indicates clear skies in the hilly regions, covering provinces such as Karnali and Sudurpaschim. Moving into Saturday afternoon, partial cloud cover is expected in Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpaschim Province, while the remaining regions will continue to experience generally clear weather. There is a slight possibility of light snowfall at select locations in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali Province.
In tandem with the changing weather, temperatures are on the decline nationwide, prompting the Weather Forecasting Division to issue a cautionary advisory. The public is urged to take necessary precautions to safeguard against the effects of the increasing cold.
As Nepal experiences this weather transition, staying informed about local forecasts and adhering to recommended safety measures becomes crucial to ensure the well-being of residents and travelers alike.
