Constitutional and Judicial Journalists Forum elects new leadership

The Constitutional and Judicial Journalists Forum, Nepal has unanimously elected a 8-member committee.

The general convention of the Forum held on Friday elected Kalika Khadka of the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) as the Chairperson of the forum.

Similarly, Deepak Kharel, Editor-In-Chief of Pardafas.com has been elected as Vice-Chairman of the Forum. Bhasha Sharma of Nagarik Daily has also been elected as the Women’s Vice-Chairperson of the forum.

Likewise, Nirajan Poudel of Rajdhani National Daily, Shilpa Karna of Naya Patrika Daily, Basu Khadka of Galaxy 4K as been elected in the post of general secretary, secretary and treasurer respectively.

Sabin Dhamala of News agency Nepal and Arjun Shrestha of Radio Nepal has been elected as the forum’s new members.

Similarly, the other members are Sabin Dhamala of News agency Nepal and Arjun Shrestha of Radio Nepal.

Inaugurating the general meeting, the Chairman of Press Council Nepal Bal Krishna Basnet , expressed his belief that when legal journalists write and edit news, the incidents of violations of journalistic code of conduct will be reduced.

Similarly, the Editor-In-Chief of Online Khabar, Shiva Gaunle talked about the establishment of the forum and also said about the past and present of disparity mining in the legal field. He said that now the field of legal journalism has gone wider than in the past.
