Dabur Nepal to make a whopping re-investment of about 10 billion in Nepal

Dabur Nepal Pvt Ltd, a multinational company, has announced its plan to re-invest approximately 10 billion rupees in Nepal.

The company on Thursday has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Investment Board of Nepal to make a significant reinvestment of approximately 10 billion rupees. The investment will be utilized to construct, operate, and manage a capacity building and product diversification project under the private investment concept.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Sushil Bhatta , Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Board, and Harkirat Singh Bedi, Business Head of Dabur Nepal. The signing ceremony took place at the Investment Board office in the presence of Ramesh Rijal, the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supply, and Investment Board member.

As per the proposal submitted by Dabur Nepal for the capacity building and diversification project, an additional investment of 9.68 billion Nepalese rupees is set to be made.

The investment was approved by the 49th meeting of the Board of Investment held on 8 February , 2022 for increasing the capacity of the industry and diversifying the product.

Following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the Business Head of Dabur Nepal Pvt. Ltd., Bedi, expressed his satisfaction with the decision to invest a portion of the company’s accumulated capital in Nepal.

Furthermore, Bhatta, the Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Board, highlighted that Dabur Nepal Pvt. Ltd.’s decision to reinvest in the country is a clear indication of investors’ confidence, trust, and eagerness to expand their business in Nepal.

Similarly, during his address at the program, Minister Rijal highlighted the significance of Dabur Nepal’s reinvestment and the positive message it sends to both domestic and foreign investors. He emphasized that potential foreign investors interested in investing in Nepal should consider the experiences of those who have already invested in the country and take note of the business operations and practices that have proven successful.
