Dead Elephant Found at Mechinagar Municipality-3

A male tusker was discovered dead this morning on the bank of the Sukeninda stream in Dhardhare, Mechinagar municipality-3. Locals immediately notified the District Police Office and Division Forest Office, leading to a swift response from both bodies.

According to Krishna Bahadur Chand, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Jhapa, a team of veterinarians from Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserves is expected to arrive shortly to conduct a post-mortem examination.
