Deuba’s candidacy upheld

The complaint demanding that the candidature of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba from Dadeldhura for membership of the House of Representatives (HoR) be scrapped has been dismissed.

Karna Malla, a Nepali Congress (BP) candidate for the House of Representatives from Dadeldhura, had filed a complaint at the Election Officer’s office.

He had filed a complaint demanding the cancellation of the candidacy of Sher Bahadur Deuba because he has different dates of birth on the citizenship certificate and the voter’s list.

The complaint has been dismissed stating that it was not in accordance with the law.
