Deuba’s Five PM Tenures: A Result of Ability, Not Luck, Says FM Saud

Foreign Minister NP Saud, a central member of the Congress, emphasized that Sher Bahadur Deuba has become the Prime Minister of Nepal five times due to his abilities and not by mere luck.

In a reception and honor program organized by the Nepali Congress Chaurpati Achham, Saud refuted the notion that Deuba’s political success was attributed to luck, saying, “Many people say – Sher Bahadur Deuba became the Prime Minister by luck. He did not become the Prime Minister by luck.” He further emphasized the rarity of such luck by adding, “Can you find someone who has won the lottery five times? Saud says that no one could win the lottery five times.

Saud firmly said that Deuba’s repeated ascendancy to the position of Prime Minister was a testament to his abilities and the ideals of the Nepali Congress. He highlighted the party’s unique capacity to bring different factions together and garner support from international powers. Saud asserted, “Sher Bahadur Deuba became the Prime Minister not by luck, but by his ability. He became the Prime Minister because of the party’s ideas.”
