Dhakal Requests President Lamichhane: Live Broadcast of RSP Meeting

It has been proposed to broadcast live the meeting of the Central Committee of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

General Secretary Mukul Dhakal disclosed that he has proposed to broadcast the meeting scheduled for Wednesday, pending approval from the party’s leadership.

“I have urged the President to consider live broadcasting the meeting, although a decision is yet to be finalized,” stated Dhakal.

The agenda of the forthcoming central committee session primarily revolves around the comprehensive report prepared by General Secretary Dhakal following an extensive review tour spanning 32 districts.

In his political document, Dhakal highlights pressing concerns that he believes could jeopardize the party’s trajectory. “Based on my assessment during the review tour, I fear the party is heading towards turmoil if current practices persist,” expressed Dhakal.

The report submitted by Dhakal to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Lamichhane, underscores a noticeable decline in the party’s public appeal since securing 20 seats in the 2022 elections. Furthermore, the report scrutinizes Lamichhane’s waning popularity.

Demanding transparency, Dhakal has insisted on making his report public. “It is imperative for the citizens to be aware of the issues outlined in my report,” emphasized Dhakal, advocating for the live broadcast of the committee meeting.
