Dhamala in Tension: Aliza Gautam Announces Candidacy in Ilam-2
Actress Aliza Gautam has announced her candidacy for the upcoming by-election in Ilam constituency 2.
Gautam, who had previously distanced herself from politics after leaving the Nagarik Unmukti Party, has now expressed her renewed interest in the political arena.
She expressed her renewed interest in politics, stating, “It has been decided that I will be a candidate in the by-election for Ilam-2. The choice of which party to contest with has not been finalized yet. I have been in discussions with many individuals. I will run as a candidate for a reputable party.”
Aliza Gautam is known for her appearances in numerous music videos and her role in the movie “Anurag.” She is also the spouse of renowned journalist Rishi Dhamala.
The Ilam-2 constituency became vacant following the unfortunate passing of elected MP Subas Chandra Nembang, who also served as the vice-chairman of the UML, on Bhadra 26.
