A tragic road mishap in Doti district this morning has resulted in the death of two individuals and left seven others injured.
The deceased have been identified as 40-year-old Dhauli Devi Bhattarai and three-year-old Ritika Parki, both from Lekam rural municipality-4 in Darchula district. Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Bhim Lal Bhattarai, confirmed the identities.
The accident occurred when the jeep, carrying nine people including the driver, was en route from Darchula to Dhangadhi. Dhauli Devi Bhattarai died on the spot, while Ritika Parki succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment.
The injured are currently receiving medical care at a local health post. Further details regarding the cause of the accident and the condition of the injured individuals are yet to be disclosed.
