Dr. Koirala Urges Unity Amidst Party’s Challenges

Dr. Shekhar Koirala, a central member of the Nepali Congress (NC), has voiced his concerns about the party facing attacks from various directions. Speaking at an event in Tanahu on Friday, Dr. Koirala emphasized the critical need for collective efforts to counter these challenges.

In his address, Dr. Koirala stated, “It’s imperative to repel these assaults in all forms, and this calls for unity within the Congress party.” He acknowledged the possibility of not winning in the upcoming by-elections but urged party members not to lose hope, highlighting Tanahu as the stronghold of the Congress.

The veteran NC leader stressed that party leadership should work tirelessly to foster unity within the party. He said, “The nation is facing challenges in its economic, religious, cultural, and even diplomatic spheres. These issues can only be resolved with strong leadership within the Congress.”

Dr. Koirala also recommended that a robust Nepali Congress presence in Tanahu would have a ripple effect on neighboring districts, underscoring the importance of unwavering leadership in the province.
