Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma Appointed as Nepal’s Ambassador to India

President Ram Chandra Poudel has appointed Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma as Nepal’s ambassador to India. The appointment was made in accordance with Article 282, Clause 1 of the Constitution of Nepal.

The Indian government had sent an agremo approving Dr. Sharma’s appointment on Wednesday, following which the formal decision was made by President Poudel. Dr. Sharma is now set to travel to India to assume his diplomatic responsibilities.

This marks a return for Dr. Sharma to a familiar role, as he has previously served as Nepal’s ambassador to India. His reappointment underscores the importance of strengthening Nepal-India ties and fostering bilateral cooperation in key areas of mutual interest.
