“Dual Faces of Rapists: Both Deserve Hanging” – Samikshya Adhikari Demands Justice for Shalin Pokhrel
Popular singer Samikshya Adhikari recently shared her thoughts on social media about sexual violence, highlighting two types of rapists in society.
The renowned artist, who rose to prominence as a singer following the release of her song “Balapan Ko Umer” from the Nepali movie “Nai Nabhannu La 4,” took to Facebook to share her thoughts on the matter.
Adhikari’s post delineated two distinct archetypes of rapists within society, capturing the intricacies of their actions.
She wrote, “1. A rapist who acts out of love and shows compassion, who leaves alive but ultimately destroys lives. 2. A rapist who uses coercion, leaving no survivors and no evidence.” She expressed her belief that both types of perpetrators deserve severe punishment, stating, “Both of them deserve to be hanged.”
In addition to addressing the issue of rape, Adhikari also called on the government to reveal the truth about the death of Shalin Pokharel from Chitwan. She urged authorities to provide transparency and justice in the case, writing, “I strongly request the government to promptly disclose the truth about the death of Chitwan’s sister, Shalin Pokhrel. #justiceforshalinpokharel.”
