Earthquake Jolts Baitadi and Surrounding Districts

An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale struck the hill districts of Sudurpaschim Province, with its epicenter located at Nwaghar in Sigas Rural Municipality-7, Baitadi. The tremor occurred at 7:54 AM, according to Chintan Timilsina, Chief of the Earthquake Measurement Station in Surkhet.

The quake was also felt in nearby districts, including Bajhang, Dadeldhura, and Doti. As of now, no casualties or significant damage have been reported, confirmed the District Police Office.
