Earthquake of Magnitude 4.4 Jolts Mugu District

A moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 on the Richter scale struck Mugu district this morning, the National Earthquake Measuring and Research Centre reported. The tremor was recorded at 8:03 AM.

This comes just days after a 4.8-magnitude earthquake was recorded in Sindhupalchowk district on Thursday.

No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received from either incident. However, local authorities and residents have been urged to remain vigilant, as Nepal lies in a seismically active zone with frequent tremors.

The Centre continues to monitor seismic activities across the country to ensure timely updates and safety measures.
