Reports from eastern districts indicate cracks in mud-and-stone houses, but no significant damage has been observed. Nepali Army Spokesperson Gaurav Kumar KC confirmed the absence of major destruction, stating, “There are no reports of large-scale damage to life and property throughout the country.”
Similarly, Armed Police Force Joint Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa noted minor damage, primarily cracks in older structures, while emphasizing that detailed assessments are still underway. Nepal Police Spokesperson Bishwa Adhikari also reported no human casualties as of yet.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation and assess damages across affected areas. This tremor highlights Nepal’s vulnerability to seismic activity, prompting calls for strengthened disaster preparedness and resilience measures.
