Eight Chinese Tourists Injured in Road Accident in Pokhara

Eight Chinese tourists sustained injuries in a road accident that occurred in Pokhara today. Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Kaski, Mohan Kumar Thapa, reported that the incident occurred at Rastra Bank Chowk when a microbus (Ba 1 pa 851) traveling from Lakeside to Mustang Chowk collided with a jeep (Ba 13 Cha 513) en route to Ratna Chowk.

All injured individuals, including 11 Chinese nationals, are currently receiving treatment at Gandaki Medical College, as confirmed by Kaski Police. Fortunately, the hospital has assured that all patients are in stable condition and out of danger.

Both drivers involved in the accident have been arrested by the authorities, signaling a swift response to the incident.

The injured individuals and their respective conditions are as follows:

  1. Wang Xiaocen (40): Sustained injuries to the right hand, currently in moderate condition.
  2. Wang Youhu (64): Experienced choking in the back, condition assessed as moderate.
  3. Xuxiaoping (61): Injuries to the back and face, condition deemed moderate.
  4. Wongjuan (40): Back injuries reported, with a moderate condition.
  5. Chen Jianping (51): Condition assessed as moderate.
  6. Shen Jianping (62): Injuries to both legs, currently in a moderate condition.
  7. Hyan Yumei (51): Injuries to the waist, condition evaluated as moderate.
  8. Zhang Chiminc (63): Suffered injuries to both knees, condition described as moderate.

Authorities are actively involved in managing the aftermath of the collision and ensuring the provision of necessary medical assistance to the injured individuals. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the crucial importance of adhering to road safety measures and maintaining vigilance while traveling, particularly during the early hours of the day.
