EU Ambassador Veronique Lorenzo Highlights Nepal’s Potential in Waste Management and Green Energy
EU Ambassador to Nepal, Veronique Lorenzo, emphasized the importance of adopting innovative waste management practices at the local level and in schools during a review program organized by Creasion Nepal, with support from the European Union (EU).
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Lorenzo lauded the efforts of the Green Shift Campaign, which promotes sustainability and environmental awareness. She praised the role the campaign has played, stating, “If youths launch innovative projects, they can realize change. Youths are indeed the precursor of change.”
Ambassador Lorenzo underscored the potential of waste management and the circular economy as significant opportunities for Nepal. She also shared her belief that Nepal, with a committed focus on green energy, could emerge as a regional leader in the sector.
Anand Mishra, Founder Chair of Creasion Nepal, echoed this optimism, noting that the Green Shift Campaign is more than just a project—it is a comprehensive movement towards a sustainable future.
