Fair Weather Expected Across Most Parts of the Country

The weather is expected to remain mostly fair across much of the country today, with some variability in hilly and mountainous regions due to prevailing atmospheric conditions.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, current weather patterns are being influenced by westerly and local winds, as well as moisture-laden air masses moving in from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.

As per the latest forecast, partly to generally cloudy conditions are likely over the hilly regions this afternoon, while fair weather is expected to prevail in the Terai and other lower regions. The Division has indicated a possibility of light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in several areas of the hilly and mountainous belts.

In some higher elevations, light snowfall is also possible, particularly in isolated areas of the mountainous region.

Tonight, the weather is forecast to remain partly cloudy in the hills and generally fair elsewhere. There remains a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at one or two locations in the hilly regions, along with a slight possibility of snowfall in the higher mountain areas.

The Meteorological Division advises residents, particularly those in mountainous areas, to stay informed of updated forecasts and take necessary precautions in light of possible weather changes.
