FNCCI election: Voting underway

Voting to elect a new leadership of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) is underway at the Pragya Pratisthan (Nepal Academy), Kamaladi in Kathmandu.

The voting will end at 4 pm today.

According to FNCCI, the counting of votes will start after 5 pm.

According to the FNCCI statute, the current Senior Vice President Chandra Dhakal will automatically become the President of FNCCI.

In the FNCCI statute, there is a provision that the person elected as Senior Vice President will automatically become the President after three years of tenure.

Anjan Shrestha, Ramchandra Sanghai and Umesh Lal Shrestha are competing for the position of Senior Vice President. Former Vice President Umesh Lal Shrestha, current Associates and commodity Vice Presidents Ramchandra Sanghai and Anjan Shrestha have entered the competition along with their respective panels.
