Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba to Meet Indian Prime Minister Modi on Monday
Foreign Minister Azju Rana Deuba, who is currently on an official visit to India, is scheduled to meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.
According to sources within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting is set to take place at 7:30 pm on Monday at Hyderabad House in New Delhi. During the meeting, Minister Rana is expected to formally extend an invitation to Prime Minister Modi to visit Nepal on behalf of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
In addition to her meeting with Prime Minister Modi, Minister Rana will also hold discussions with Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar on the same day. The visit is taking place at the invitation of Minister Jaishankar, and Minister Rana departed for New Delhi on Sunday.
Minister Rana’s visit to India is seen as an important step in strengthening diplomatic ties between the two neighboring countries. She is scheduled to return to Nepal on August 22.
