Former CoAS Dharmapaal Barsingh Thapa Passes Away

Former Chief of Army Staff of Nepal, Dharmapaal Barsingh Thapa, breathed his last on Thursday morning, as confirmed by Nepal Army officials.

Thapa, who served as the head of Nepal Army from 1995 to 1999, was admitted to the Nepal Army Hospital in Chhauni two days prior due to deteriorating health conditions. Despite receiving medical care, he succumbed to his ailments while undergoing treatment.

During his tenure as the Chief of Army Staff, Thapa played a crucial role in shaping Nepal’s military strategies and operations. His leadership was marked by dedication and commitment to the nation’s defense.

Thapa’s demise is mourned by the nation, and his contributions to Nepal’s armed forces will be remembered with reverence.
