Former Crown Prince Paras Shah Hospitalized
Former Crown Prince Paras Shah has been admitted to HAMS Hospital in Kathmandu due to heart discomfort. He was admitted to the Mandikhatar-based hospital on Friday. According to Hospital Director Dr. Jyotindra Sharma, Shah does not have any major complications, but doctors have decided to keep him under 24-hour observation.
This isn’t the first time Shah has faced heart-related health issues. In 2019, he received treatment at Norvic Hospital in Thapathali after suffering a heart attack. In 2015, he had an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator, a device that helps treat irregular heartbeats, successfully placed in his heart. Additionally, he survived a major cardiac arrest in 2013 while in Bangkok, and in September 2007, he underwent an angioplasty operation in Kathmandu’s Norvic Hospital after suffering a mild heart attack.
Former King Gyanendra Shah, former Queen Komal Shah, and former Crown Princess Himani Shah have also visited the hospital to inquire about Shah’s health condition.
