Former King Gyanendra Extends Condolences Over Pahalgam Terror Attack

Former King Gyanendra Shah has expressed deep sorrow over the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, India, which claimed the lives of numerous Hindu pilgrims, including a Nepali national.

In a condolence message released today, Former King Gyanendra conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the families of the deceased and extended his deep condolences to the government and people of the friendly neighboring country, India, during this time of grief.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives in this heinous terrorist attack,” the Former King said. “Our heartfelt condolences go out to all the departed souls, including our Nepali brother who lost his life, and to all the bereaved families.”

Reflecting on the Sanatani Vedic Hindu philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — the belief that the world is one family — Former King Gyanendra strongly condemned the attack, calling it a grave sin against divine and humanitarian values.

“No words of condemnation are enough for such acts that have caused sorrow to the entire world and the global Hindu community,” he stated. “We believe such heinous crimes must be universally denounced.”
