
Foundation Stone Laid for Shree Nepal Rastriya Secondary School Multipurpose Building in Dailekh


The foundation stone for the construction of the Shree Nepal Rastriya Secondary School Multipurpose Building in Dullu Municipality, Dailekh was laid today in a ceremony attended by senior officials from Nepal and India.
Ghanshyam Bhandari, Minister of Social Development for Karnali Province, Avinash Kumar Singh, Counsellor at the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, and Bharat Prasad Rijal, Mayor of Dullu Municipality, jointly laid the foundation stone. The event was attended by political representatives, government officials, social workers, teachers, students, and parents.
The multipurpose building is being constructed with a grant of NPR 39 million from the Government of India under the Nepal-India Development Cooperation initiative. The three-and-a-half-floor building will feature a handicraft showcase area, library, cultural section dedicated to the Dullu Kingdom, multipurpose hall, office area, and other essential facilities. The project, classified as a High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP), is being implemented through Dullu Municipality.
Local representatives and stakeholders expressed their gratitude for India’s continued support, emphasizing that the new infrastructure would not only benefit the students but also promote local history and culture. The building is expected to create an enhanced learning environment and contribute to the overall development of the education and cultural sectors in Karnali Province.
Since 2003, the Government of India has completed 495 HICDPs out of 563 projects initiated across various sectors in Nepal, including 15 projects in Karnali Province. Additionally, India has donated 1,009 ambulances and 300 school buses to hospitals, health posts, and educational institutions across Nepal, with 50 ambulances and 8 school buses allocated to Karnali Province.
India and Nepal share a long-standing and multifaceted partnership. The implementation of HICDPs symbolizes India’s commitment to supporting Nepal’s growth by enhancing infrastructure in priority areas, reinforcing the strong ties between the two neighbors.
