Gold and Silver Prices Surge in Nepal Following Global Trends

The rising trend of gold and silver prices in the international market has had a direct impact on the local market in Nepal. The price of gold in the international market reached $2,704 per ounce today, compared to $2,681 per ounce last Friday.

In Nepal, gold prices have seen a notable increase of Rs 1,600 per tola within the same period. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Merchants’ Federation, one tola of gold is now priced at Rs 155,700. Silver prices have also climbed, with the same amount of the precious metal trading at Rs 1,860 per tola, marking a Rs 15 increase since last week.

This surge reflects the global market dynamics, with both metals continuing to attract investor interest amidst economic uncertainty and inflation concerns. The trend is expected to influence local buying patterns in the coming days.
