Gold Price Drops by Rs 2,000 per Tola in Domestic Market

The price of gold has declined sharply by Rs 2,000 per tola in Nepal’s domestic market, reflecting a downturn in the international bullion market.
According to the Federation of Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold today stands at Rs 184,800 per tola (11.66 grams), down from Rs 186,800 per tola recorded on Monday.
In contrast, the price of silver has seen a modest rise, increasing by Rs 10 per tola. Silver is now trading at Rs 1,970 per tola, up from Rs 1,960.
The Federation also reported that the current price of gold in the international market is USD 3,252 per ounce, contributing to the fluctuation in the local rates.
Market analysts attribute the decline in gold prices to ongoing volatility in global financial markets and shifting investor sentiments, which continue to impact precious metal trading both internationally and domestically.
