Gold Prices Drop by Rs 1,400 Per Tola in Nepal, Silver Sees Modest Gain

The price of gold in the domestic market dropped sharply by Rs 1,400 per tola (11.66 grams) on Thursday, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

Gold is now being traded at Rs 190,800 per tola, down from Rs 192,200 the previous day. The decline follows trends in the international market, where gold is currently priced at USD 3,333 per ounce.

In contrast, the price of silver recorded a slight increase. It rose by Rs 5 per tola and is now set at Rs 1,960, compared to Rs 1,955 on Thursday.

Traders attribute the fluctuations to shifts in global market sentiment and investor behavior, as precious metals respond to economic data and international financial developments.
