Gold Prices Surge to Record High of Rs 179,700 Per Tola

The price of gold in Nepal continues its upward trajectory, mirroring global market trends. Over the past four days, the precious metal has seen a steady increase, driven by rising international prices and fluctuations in the US dollar.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold, which stood at Rs 177,900 per tola (11.66 grams) on Monday, surged by Rs 1,800, reaching Rs 179,700 per tola today.
Despite gold’s climb, silver prices remain stable at Rs 2,035 per tola. Meanwhile, in the international market, gold is currently trading at $3,140 per ounce, reflecting ongoing global demand.
The federation attributed the continuous rise in gold prices in Nepal to the strengthening of the US dollar and local market demand.
