Government to finalise common minimum programme by tomorrow: DPM Lamichhane

Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, Rabi Lamichhane, has said final preparation is underway for chalking out the government’s common minimum programme with an objective of providing easy and smooth services to citizens.

Talking to media persons at Singha Durbar, DPM Lamichhane shared that discussions on it would also be held among ruling coalition partners today itself and final shape would be given to the common minimum programme.

He opined, “Leaders of ruling coalition partner are meeting today in this connection. We have reached final stage. We are planning to finalise the document by tomorrow.”

The DPM mentioned that the government’s common minimum programme would be unveiled soon.

The common minimum programme has been focused on making government service delivery easy and smooth, providing chemical fertilizer to farmers in a smoother manner, youth employment programme and different policy-level revision, he added.

DPM Lamichhane further said the common minimum programme has also incorporated a concrete plan like providing health service and education in a smooth manner, controlling corruption and making government’s work performance effective.

He shared that there is a common view among all ruling coalition partners to provide easy and smooth service to the citizens even though the partners have different political ideology.

The ruling coalition partners had also discussed on government’s common minimum programmes on Wednesday evening too.
