
Govt declares public holiday on Thursday in Kathmandu Valley


The government has officially declared a public holiday on Thursday for the celebration of Bhoto Jatra in the Kathmandu Valley. Jitendra Basnet, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Home Affairs, confirmed the decision, stating that it has been agreed upon to grant a public holiday on Thursday within the Kathmandu Valley, commemorating the auspicious occasion of Bhoto Jatra.
As per the information provided by Guthi Sansthan, President Ram Chandra Paudel will preside over the Bhoto Jatra ceremony, where the sacred vest known as “Bhoto” will be displayed and revered. This event holds significant cultural and religious importance in Nepal.
