Govt. Plans to Open Dharahara for Public Within 100 Days, Says Deputy Prime Minister Singh
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakashman Singh, announced today that the government is preparing to open the Dharahara for public access soon.
During an interaction with infrastructure development journalists at the Ministry in Singh Durbar, Deputy Prime Minister Singh revealed that arrangements are being made to allow visitors to enjoy the view from the Dharahara within the next 100 days. He emphasized that while not all construction works are complete, necessary provisions will be established for those wishing to climb the tower.
“The government will make arrangements within 100 days for those who want to climb the tower. We are working to open some parts of Dharahara, but not all,” Singh stated.
Singh also addressed the delay in new city construction, attributing it to previous government instability. He assured that progress will now proceed with the support of the major parties in parliament.
Additionally, Singh mentioned that the ministry is engaged in discussions with local authorities regarding waste management in the Kathmandu Valley.
