Heavy Rain Likely in Some Parts of Country

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the country is currently experiencing the impact of monsoon winds, with the monsoon’s low-pressure line positioned further south than usual.

At present, light to moderate rain is occurring in one or two locations across all provinces except Madhesh province. Additionally, some areas in Bagmati and Lumbini provinces are experiencing heavy rainfall.

The weather forecast for this afternoon predicts partly to mostly cloudy conditions across the country, with the possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Similarly, tonight there is a likelihood of heavy rain in some locations in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces.
