Heavy Rainfall Expected Across Multiple Provinces in Nepal: Department of Hydrology and Meteorology
Rainfall is currently occurring in most parts of the country, with the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology forecasting heavy rainfall at one or two locations in Koshi Province, Madhes Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, and Sudurpaschim Province this afternoon.
The Department has highlighted the possibility of heavy rainfall at specific locations in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, urging residents in these areas to remain alert.
For tonight, the weather across the country is expected to remain cloudy, with light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning anticipated in most regions of all provinces. Additionally, some areas may experience heavy to extremely heavy rainfall.
The Department has specifically forecasted torrential rainfall at one or two locations in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. Over the next 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is predicted in many parts of all provinces, with heavy to extremely heavy rainfall expected in some areas.
Given the possibility of extremely heavy rainfall in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, the Department has urged everyone to take necessary precautions against potential landslides and floods.
