Helicopter Carrying Karnali Chief Minister Makes Emergency Landing Due to Bad Weather

A helicopter carrying the Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Yamlal Kandel, made an emergency landing at Radi in Athbasikot Municipality, Rukum West, today. The incident occurred while the Chief Minister was en route from Dolpa to Surkhet after attending a religious fair at Tripura Sundari Temple.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Navraj Bhattarai, the helicopter, operated by Simrik Air with the call sign Nine N-AKD, was forced to land in a playground at Radi due to deteriorating weather conditions. The helicopter was carrying five people, including Chief Minister Kandel, his wife, the chief of Tripura Sundari Municipality in Dolpa, security personnel, and the pilot.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and all passengers on board are safe. The emergency landing was a precautionary measure taken to ensure the safety of everyone on board amidst challenging weather.
