
Hollywood Star Jet Li in Kathmandu


Renowned Hollywood actor, Jet Li, has made a special visit to Nepal to immerse himself in the teachings of Buddhism. The actor, known for his martial arts prowess and cinematic achievements, arrived in Kathmandu with the specific purpose of attending classes in Buddhist philosophy.
Jet Li is currently enrolled in classes conducted by Boudhha Guru Chhoki Nima Rimpoche, a revered figure in the realm of Buddhist teachings. The actor, accompanied by his daughter and some associates, is actively participating in the two-day Buddhist philosophy class organized by Rimpoche.
During his stay in Kathmandu, Jet Li had the opportunity to explore the spiritual ambiance of the Boudhha Stupa. Interestingly, on Saturday, actress Manisha Koirala also visited the stupa, sharing the enriching experience with Jet Li.
This isn’t Jet Li’s first visit to Kathmandu; he had previously celebrated Christmas in the city in 2023. His current visit, however, reflects a deep interest in delving into the profound teachings of Buddhism, showcasing a different facet of the versatile actor’s pursuits beyond the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.
