Home Minister Khand lost the federal poll

Home Minister and Nepali Congress leader Bal Krishna Khand has been defeated in the election of the House of Representatives (HoR).

Khand, who contested the election on behalf of the ruling alliance from Rupandehi-3, is defeated by his closest competitor Deepak Bohora of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).

Bohora defeated Khand by a margin of 2,681 votes. While Bohora secured 36,717 votes, Khand got 34,036 votes from the constituency.
