HoR Meeting Adjourned Due to Ministerial Absence

The House of Representatives meeting today faced delays and was ultimately adjourned to tomorrow morning at 11 am following the absence of government ministers. Initially set for 4 pm Thursday, the session commenced late by an hour and a half with no ministers present.

Nepali Congress MP Ramhari Khatiwada highlighted this absence to Speaker Devraj Ghimire, emphasizing the mandatory presence of the Prime Minister and ministers during parliamentary sessions.

In response, Speaker Ghimire confirmed the necessity of ministerial attendance and declared the session adjourned to Friday morning due to their non-appearance.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is slated to seek a vote of confidence during tomorrow’s rescheduled House meeting. Additionally, the National Assembly session planned earlier today was also postponed for similar reasons.
