HoR Meeting Postponed to 1:30 pm

The scheduled meeting of the House of Representatives, which was initially called for 11:00 a.m., has been postponed to 1:30 pm on Tuesday. The delay was a result of a disagreement between the parties regarding the participation of unauthorized individuals in the budget preparation process.

Prior to the House of Representatives meeting, a gathering was held in the Speaker’s office, attended by the chief whips and whips of the political parties. During this meeting, the CPN-UML and the RPP demanded the establishment of a parliamentary investigation committee.

In relation to the budget, the Rashtriya Swantatra Party has insisted that the Minister of Finance provide an explanation regarding the involvement of unauthorized individuals in its preparation. Unfortunately, due to the parties failing to reach an agreement, the meeting could not commence promptly.

The budget discussions were initiated on Monday during the House of Representatives meeting.
