
House of Representatives Unanimously Passes Corruption Prevention Bill


The House of Representatives has unanimously passed the ‘Corruption Prevention (First Amendment) Bill, 2081.’
The bill was presented for approval by Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak on behalf of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. Addressing concerns raised during the discussion, Minister Lekhak emphasized that the bill aims to ensure public welfare, economic discipline, and ethical governance while combating corruption.
Additionally, Minister for Labour, Employment, and Social Security Sharat Singh Bhandari presented a report on the “Mechanisms of New International Labour Standards” adopted by the International Labour Conference.
The House of Representatives is scheduled to reconvene at 1:00 PM on Tuesday.
